A True Sleeper

from the post chronicle
Veteran rocker Keith Richards missed his cameo in Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End, because he fell asleep during the screening.
The hard-partying guitarist, 63, has a brief appearance in the Disney movie alongside star Johnny Depp, who based his Captain Jack Sparrow character on Richards.
Richards says, "I did fall asleep, but I'd been up for three days."

Let The Mohawk Do The Talking

First off, I defended Aerosmith's Superbowl appearance with Britney and NSYNC. I thought it was grand entertainment, a great song, and a great band trying to keep it fresh. Also I couldn't help but wonder what Steven Tyler was really thinking as he watched Britney prance around in the A-smith shirt/football pants combo. But Joe Perry and Sanjaya? That's the definition of sellout isn't it? Of course I was watching and that's the point. Maybe Joe's solo album stiffed (it did) and he wants to revive the Joe Perry Project with a fresh young singer. Couldn't be any worse than the guy who sang with him in the mid 80's. As for the actual playing, maybe having Steve Hunter or Dick Wagner taking the solo might have helped. It did on Get Your Wings. And somebody needs to tell him that the guitar with the picture of his wife on it is not cool. It's one thing to have the guitar, another to play it every time you're in public. We know she's beautiful, Joe. Now that their rock and roll days are numbered, it's time for Joe and Steven to sit down with the song doctors and write a new ballad and return Aerosmith to the spotlight it so deserves. As for these ridiculous cameo appearances, they may be awful but I'll keep watching 'cause I don't want to miss a thing

Frankly I couldn't give a shit if he's drinking again.
